Sincerely Seeking Answers
I know this may seem crazy, controversial, or perhaps even insulting for some, but I sincerely would like some straightforward answers to some basic observations that I see. Firstly, why is it when I visit black churches it seems to be over 90% women – and 90% are single? I have visited churches of every denomination, race, size, etc., but when I go to Asian, Jewish, white, or Middle Eastern ones, there seem to be many couples but at the black ones, there seem to be a bunch of women. With the exception of the pastor and a few ministers, their congregation is mostly single, divorced, separated women. And on top of that, at the white and international churches, everyone seems to be married, engaged, or taken. And when you do find the single folks, a majority of them are black women! Black men have absolutely no problem finding a spouse in a black or non-black church. However, black females – especially ones over size 6 – appear to be habitually single where ever I go! WHY?!?!?! I genuinely hope to find some sound, beneficial responses to this matter.
